A tour that will allow you to discover two sides of Etna along ancient connecting roads, experiencing first-hand the history of places that were literally submerged by impressive lava flows. Visiting the lava flow caves, breathtaking views, craters involved in spectacular eruptions and savoring the delicious flavors of typical local products.

We will understand together how this, or rather this, black “mountain” was born and the very close relationship that the inhabitants of the foothill areas have with Etna, which became a world heritage site in 2013. All this and more as we travel by car along the different points of interest.

The tour is particularly suitable for those who are not used to walking for a long time, thanks to the short walks we will take to see and touch the beauties of Etna.

After meeting at the meeting point, we will proceed in the direction of one of the slopes of the volcano. Our guides will be particularly attentive in explaining the surrounding environment given the presence of several flows.

We will reach almost 2000 m. where we will take a short but exciting walk on the edge of one of Etna’s many lateral craters, admiring the breathtaking landscape.

Our next stop will be a visit to one of the beautiful lava flow caves present along all sides of the volcano. Here, equipped with helmets and lights, we will explore the meanders of a lava flow tunnel.

One of the most beautiful stops will be the view of the immense Valle del Bove which characterizes the eastern side of Etna. Here we will understand how this great “mountain” is so particular and how it was able to reach the present day.

We will conclude everything with a tasting of typical local products that will give flavor to our day, and then return to the meeting point.
