These Terms and Conditions govern the services offered by Walk in Nature.
By making a reservation, the customer fully accepts the following Terms and Conditions.
Users are encouraged to read this document carefully before booking any activity.
Reservations can be made through the online booking system available on the Walk in Nature website or by contacting our guides via WhatsApp, SMS, or iMessage.
All activities require a reservation made at least 48 hours in advance.
An advance payment is required to confirm the booking, secure availability, and guarantee the provision of the requested service, except in cases of force majeure.
Bookings confirmed with advance payment are given priority.
For large groups or activities involving third-party services (such as restaurants, tickets, or transportation), a deposit or full prepayment may be required.
All activities are covered by Professional Civil Liability Insurance (RCT), which applies exclusively to incidents directly attributable to the actions of Walk in Nature staff.
The following are expressly excluded from insurance coverage:
a) Damages or injuries resulting from failure to follow guide instructions or safety rules.
b) Services provided by third parties, even if booked through Walk in Nature (e.g., restaurants, cable cars, quad tours).
c) Injuries or damages resulting from the natural characteristics of the environment, including uneven terrain, volcanic ground, or weather conditions.
Payments must be made in advance through secure external payment providers (Stripe or SumUp).
Walk in Nature does not store or process credit/debit card data.
Reservations are considered confirmed only after full payment has been successfully completed.
Transportation is included in the tour price only when explicitly stated and applies exclusively to transfers from designated meeting points.
Any additional or alternative transportation requested by participants may incur an extra fee.
Walk in Nature is not responsible for personal items lost, forgotten, or damaged during transportation.
Participants must comply with all instructions provided by the guides throughout the activity.
Leaving the group without authorization or failing to follow safety instructions may result in immediate exclusion from the activity without refund.
Participants are responsible for:
Reviewing tour descriptions, difficulty levels, and required equipment.
Informing guides in advance of any medical conditions, limitations, or special needs.
Activities take place in natural environments where risks cannot be entirely eliminated.
Potential risks include, but are not limited to:
Uneven or unstable terrain
Exposure to wildlife or toxic vegetation
Volcanic activity, including falling ash or pyroclastic material
Participants acknowledge that mountain and volcanic environments inherently involve risks and accept that Walk in Nature cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from unforeseeable natural events beyond reasonable control.
Walk in Nature reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel activities due to:
Weather conditions
Volcanic activity
Safety concerns
Other unforeseen circumstances
Refunds are granted only if:
The tour has not yet started, or
Less than one-third of the planned itinerary has been completed
Requests by participants to modify the program may result in additional costs, which will be borne by the requester.
Variations and Vouchers
If participants are unable to attend, they may request a transferable voucher valid for 12 months, provided notice is given:
At least 48 hours before the activity
72 hours in August or during public holidays
Requests made after these time limits will be considered no-shows, and the full amount will be retained.
Refunds
Refunds are issued only in cases of force majeure, including official weather alerts or organizational cancellations.
No refunds are granted for:
No-shows
Delays exceeding 15 minutes from the scheduled meeting time
Personal data are processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Photographs and videos taken during activities may be used for promotional purposes on Walk in Nature’s website and social media channels.
Participants who do not wish to appear in such material must inform the organization before the activity begins.
Walk in Nature reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.
Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Catania (Italy).
