About this tour

The Mount Etna Wine Tour is designed to combine an active and engaging morning on the volcano with the pleasure of traditional Sicilian cuisine and excellent Etna wines. In fact, this is one of the most complete ways to experience Mount Etna — both its raw volcanic power and its rich cultural identity. Therefore, it is the ideal choice for travelers who want more than just a hike.

Morning on the Volcano: Craters, Lava Caves and Eruption Stories

The experience begins with a guided excursion on Mount Etna. Specifically, the route includes a walk along the edge of an extinct crater and the exploration of a lava cave. Moreover, guests receive in-depth explanations about the eruptions that have reshaped the landscape over the years. Indeed, the tour is led by local guides born and raised on Mount Etna, whose deep connection with the volcano adds authenticity and insight. As a result, geological knowledge blends naturally with personal stories and local traditions.

From Exploration to Taste: Welcome to the Winery

Once the morning excursion is completed, the focus shifts from exploration to taste. Consequently, guests are welcomed to one of the carefully selected wineries in the Etna area. Here, the culinary part of the experience begins in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the setting itself — surrounded by volcanic vineyards — adds a unique layer to the experience.

Etna Wines and Traditional Sicilian Cuisine

Lunch offers the opportunity to enjoy Etna wines paired with traditional Sicilian dishes, prepared with local ingredients and inspired by regional recipes. Throughout the meal, wine professionals guide guests through the tasting. Specifically, they explain the characteristics of the wines, their history, and the best food pairings. As a result, every glass becomes a story worth telling.

The Spirit of Mount Etna: Destruction, Life and Renewal

This tour perfectly represents the spirit of Mount Etna. Indeed, the volcano is not only a symbol of destruction — it is also a symbol of life, resilience, and renewal. Over centuries, local communities have learned to live close to Etna. Moreover, they have turned its power into a valuable resource that today defines the identity and richness of the region. Join Walk in Nature and discover Mount Etna from a perspective that goes far beyond the ordinary.
